SOL17 - 14/31 - Favorite Things Party

SOLC17 14/31 Thanks for the March Slice of Life challenge with the Two Writing Teachers community for Day Fourteen of Thirty-One of the Slice of Life Challenge in March.  Thank you, Stacey, Beth, Deb, Betsy, Lanny, Kathleen, Lisa, and Melanie.

Leigh Anne Eck at A Day In The Life has invited us to a virtual Five Favorite Things Party where we share our five favorite things and why they are special to us.
You can read the details here and participate on your blog. Lots of people are going, so come join us! Leigh Anne was nice to share that I wrote about the original "favorite things parties", but I was only honored to be invited. It's a friend of mine that deserves the credit! Read my post if you think you'd like to host your own favorite things party at home. Leigh Anne has cleverly moved the idea for blogging. This is great fun!
I haven't read everyone's posts to discover exactly what is being brought to the party, but I do know that there will be lots of pens and paper there. I thought I'd just borrow some pages if I wanted to write or draw. It's still winter, and cold in the evenings, so I thought we'd need some things that are sure to be warming. . .

Like a candle.
Or the softest fleece comforter.
There's also a bowl of Cadbury creme egg minis.

I love apples and hope that others like them too.
Fresh flowers every week brighten my days,
so thought a bouquet of them would add to our
celebration, too.
 See you all soon!

  1. Reminds me of Oprah's favorite things, but simpler and without the hefty price tags attached. Thank you for this.

  4. I love your additions to the party! Candles and flowers are a must! It would be interesting to see how this party would change if we were to have it in the summer! Thanks for starting this fun activity. I have enjoyed the new kind of connections this has brought to slicing.

  6. That fleece. I'll trade you my pillows for a chance to snuggle under that fleece. :) This has been a fun connection. Thanks Leigh Anne!

  7. Right now I could use a touch of Spring so those flowers are a welcome sight. We cut some of our daffodils and brought them in yesterday so that we could enjoy them today.
