It's the National Day on Writing!
Check out the New York Times Article here.
What I Write
When I write, I make the tunes,
scribble words and create lunes.
To Grandson Carter I send slow mail notes,
For myself, I capture quotes.
To my students, the notes are sticky
Recently I created a wiki
for colleagues with whom I like to share.
We often look for things to care
about - pages sparking conversation
to help us in the demonstration
of the love of learning.
Finally, too
I write only for me, and then for you.

Love this - especially the last line!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's good to write every day!
DeleteSo many things to write! Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I imagine you do plenty of this too, Ruth!
DeleteOh wow, I didn't even know about this National Day of Writing - reminded me of Bradbury who noted that he started writing at age 12 and never stopped until his death. How's the wiki going for you?
ReplyDeleteThanks Myra! The wiki is slow going-people are so busy!
DeleteYes, yes, Linda! I have to write for me first...and only then is it true enough to share with you.
ReplyDeleteWell, obviously I agree. The challenge is that 'other' writing takes so much time. I think I need to get my priorities straight! Thanks, April!
