According to the Merriam-Webster online Dictionary:
the word "visualization" means formation of mental visual images
an "image" is a reproduction or imitation of the form of a person or thing
a "person" or "persons" can be thought of as the personality of a human being
the "persons" of my family are driving in tonight for spring break
they will be missing the "snowstorm" which is arriving tomorrow
"snowstorm" is defined as a storm of or with snow
one of those "persons" arriving is my grandson
"grandson" is defined as the son of a son or daughter
Never underestimate the power of the feelings of anticipation. They have fueled me all the week long. Nearly here!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And by the time you read this, the anticipation will be over, and the real fun will have begun!
Happy for you! There is nothing better than a grandbaby! Happy days are here.
ReplyDeleteYes, a fun week Ruth. Thank you!
DeleteAre they there yet? Dan says we will have to plan some road trips so I have something to write about.
DeleteYes, finally here, now all are off to bed! Funny about the road trips. Have you read Gary Paulsen's book, Road Trip. I haven't gotten to it yet, but it's supposed to be really good.
DeleteHave a wonderful snow day together!
ReplyDeleteWill do, Katie. Hope you get to stay home all day!
DeleteEnjoy, have fun, and don't worry about commenting.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of definitions--very clever! I don't want to see any comments from you today! Enjoy your family!
ReplyDeleteHugs and stories sounds like the best way to get through a snow day with loved ones! Have fun...and write when you can. I remind myself it's a CHALLENGE not a mandate!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the delight in your words, Linda. I am smiling thinking about you with your family. Savor every moment. :)
ReplyDeleteSo clever the way you wrote this!!! I read it and re-read it. Love it! Have a fun week.
ReplyDeleteI love the last line! It is so true that anticipation can be fuel for the heart! Have a wonderful time today with your family, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love this. I too read it several times. YAY for grandson time!!!! My mom wishes she could be with my guy as we speak! Her anticipation ends on Easter! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeing snowed in with family sounds like a fun time. Enjoy this week.
ReplyDeleteHow you make the definitions from Webster's sound interesting is beyond me, but you did it.
ReplyDeleteYour post nearly made me cry! I rode the same anticipation all week, knowing that Friday night, I would be with my family after a 3-hour drive home on the heels of Parent-Teacher conferences. And then, I got the flu. So now I am sitting on my couch alone. I hope that your family made it safe and sound and your spring break is off to a blessed start together!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the comment wishes. They are here & it is snowing! They're off on errands so I have a little time. Sorry Jenb that you couldn't make your trip-what a disaster! Next time?
ReplyDeleteOh Joy! Have a wonderful visit.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family...and grandma time!

ReplyDeleteTerrific! It's good to turn off the screens when family is present--that allows you to be present with them! Have fun.
