For inspiration, a tech way of drawing!
I created this on my IPad with an app titled DoodleBuddy. It's really fun, and I thought I'd show it off so you can download it yourself, and play with the art. It's compatible for the IPhone, IPad and IPod Touch! Plus I think there's another version for Androids. You can save and upload your pictures as jpgs. It's better than fingerpainting, so hopefully you can try it. Can you imagine pictures within this one? I wonder if you can see the purple mountains, with lava flowing? Or the rather cute pink animal on the left. I've had older students fingerpaint, then write about their work. If you have an interactive white board you could hook up an IPad and have students write from the same prompt.

DeleteSo much fun! I love art apps. Have you ever tried http://www.nga.gov/kids/ ? My students love a session in the lab when we get to just explore this site.

ReplyDeleteThanks Robin, but really, it's just doodling! I remember one thing my grandson did was make an American flag, so there are realistic possibilities too-just fun!
DeleteI have to look into that app for my Kindle. I always get things on it my grandkids, so they think Gram is cool! It would be interesting to hear kids talk about what they draw. Thanks.

DeleteIt's amazing what you can do online. I have never created on the computer, even with photoshop (altho I want to learn it). I do all my creating with paint and paper.

Someday I want to get Photoshop, Beverley. I think there are lots of amazing things to do with it. I know you do so many creations, but this is just crazy fun to further the thinking in a way.
