ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Helen, it was a good week, although so, so busy!
DeleteI might have to borrow this celebrate format! My favorites - teachers having joyful moments, and ease, restful evenings. I want to know more about the Ghostly Tales Reader's Theatre.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ramona. We have a group of short classes that kids can choose from and attend two mornings a week, and one of those this past quarter was a reader's theater/drama class. They had a performance Wed. night that was awesome, sharing ghostly tales, like some scary stories, words from Dracula, etc. It's always fun to see kids be so excited and show their stuff so beautifully.
DeleteCelebrating finding a new head! Love your post! Such a great way to see the small moments in our life!
DeleteThanks, Deb. Finding a new head means it's doubly busy, but we made it through the week!
DeleteYes, some weeks have potholes but filling them in by celebrating the journey makes it so much easier. Reading your small celebrations makes my heart smile! Have a great week, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leigh Anne. That's exactly what to do, fill in those potholes!
DeleteLove the acrostic. I don't know you that well aside from the blog visits but it's so you, if that makes sense. Keep sharing poetry!
ReplyDeleteThanks Earl-it was fun to do this time!
DeleteAn acrostic celebration equals new beginnings and definitely celebrations ahead.
ReplyDeleteAlways something to look forward to, Betsy. Thank you!
DeleteEven through a busy, stressful week, it's nice to pause and take stock of momenent of celebration. The abundant autumn leaves have arrived here too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elsie. It is nice indeed. This past week I didn't feel much like a part-time employee!
DeleteI like that "celebrate" is a long word. Love the acrostic.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I suppose we could even use "celebration"? Fun!
DeleteYour acrostic is so clever! Great idea for quickly assessing the week's milestones.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret. The week was jam-packed, so this was enough to share with everyone I think.
DeleteI love your poem. Glad you had colleagues helping you through the week. And the abundance of autumn leaves...lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jone. I've had my grand girls here all day after I wrote it, but will be grateful for that all week!
DeleteWhat a perfect poem to celebrate all those wonderful moments! They are all special for very different reasons. Hoping this next week brings even more of these moments!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. It was very busy this week, as you see, but there were lots of good moments!
DeleteAn acrostic is a great way to celebrate the abundance of this week. I agree with you- the fall colors have been gorgeous this year! And you made me think I might need to make some egg salad! Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt's those little things that are good, right, like egg salad? Thank you Carol!
DeleteI am not sure that it was intentional, but I couldn't help but notice the alliteration in each line of your acrostic. Your voice is so grounded in poetry that it seems so natural here. Lots of great reasons to celebrate--being a former cross country coach, I am particularly pleased about your cross country news!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy-I didn't work too much on it, but perhaps my writing is 'seeping' into the words! We have a new pe teacher who is so wonderful and is doing so much good with our students. She works hard, has other teachers doing ass't coaching, running, volleyball, and so on. They've been running since two weeks before school started-7th & 8th graders!
DeleteLove your acrostic list of celebrations!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Lee-fun to share this way!
DeleteOoh, I love your post! Great idea to use an acrostic. Can I borrow your picture and the journey quote? My word this year is "journey," so it's perfect - so is the picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly, of course you can! If publishing, the picture credits are at the bottom of the post!
DeleteWhat a lovely way to celebrate your week. Looks like you had lots to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beverley! It was a very good week, but filled!
DeleteI love this idea of using an acrostic poem to share the small celebrations. I love egg salad and do not have it very often...that would be a treat to celebrate for me as well.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't had it lately either, Andrea, and it's been so warm I thought I'd make it almost as a 'still summer' treat. Yum! And thank you!
DeleteIt looks like many others have said it already, but I also enjoyed the acrostic idea for this. It made me smile as soon as I scrolled down enough to see that was what you were doing. Then once I was reading, I enjoyed seeing the blend of aspects you were celebrating.
ReplyDeleteI also talked about fall leaves - such a beautiful time of year!
Here's to another week full of celebrations.
Thanks Amanda. It has truly been so gorgeous this month! Hope you have another good week too!
DeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your acrostic poem. It sounds like a lovely week! I hope the upcoming week brings lots of things to celebrate.
Thank you Julie. I hope all went well for you this weekend, too! Have a great week!
DeleteThanks for hosting.
