I'm writing with photos today:
Saturday I received this in the mail! |
Sunday, the grand-girls played outside, mostly scuffling leaves and playing with sticks. |
Monday, I caught a late sunset photo from my back porch. |
Tuesday was my daughter's birthday. She's not six anymore, but still the same sweet, kind and clever girl she always was. |
Dear Linda,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures just made me smile. It's evident how special your family is to you and I'm so glad your car got fixed. Carrot cake is my all time favorite cake. I hope it was delicious. (I don't know if I would have remembered to take a picture before I ate it). :)
Thanks Julie, it was a fun, and funny, week! And the cake was yummy!
DeleteI love your idea to celebrate with pictures. I just looked, read and smiled along.
ReplyDeleteThanks Terje-It came together because of the week itself-pictures were there!
DeleteI, too, love the idea of celebrating with pictures. I'll have to try this. Have so much fun at NCTE. I won't be there this year, but definitely next year!!
ReplyDeleteSorry not to meet you, Michelle. With so, so many going, I can't imagine how we'll all connect, but I'll certainly try!
DeleteLove the pictures of your week. You have much to celebrate. Have a great time in Boston.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret-I'm looking forward to the time there!
DeleteI too, love the celebration with pictures, and you had much to celebrate this week. I am so glad you were successful with the bunny problem! Have a great time in Boston. Looking forward to reading about everyone's trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leigh Anne-fun to do from a lovely week!
DeleteYay for your week! Hope those critters stay away from your car. And see you in Boston!
ReplyDeleteReally excited to touch base again, Katherine. See you!
DeleteSo many great celebrations to light up each day this week! Just saw a news story of pit bulls who chewed up a car, made me think of the bunnies. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, pit bulls! I imagine it was 'inside' the car, but who knows what will happen when animals are in need. Thanks Elsie!
DeleteWow! Boston...just around the corner from me. Enjoy the conference. I loved your celebration pictures, especially the granddaughters playing with sticks in the leaves.
ReplyDeleteDonna, they loved the sticks, kept finding them, choosing what was just the right one! So fun! As Boston will be too! Drive down for lunch!
DeleteLove the pictures and this peek into your week! I feel lucky to have met so many of my blogger friends last year at All Write. Enjoy NCTE!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're going back to All Write, Ramona. It will be a great time again! Thank you!
DeleteLinda, that carrot cake looks amazing. Have fun at NCTE! I am so jealous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea. I still have some left; it was a huge slice! I am really looking forward to NCTE!
DeletePerfect celebrations of each day. Is the picture of your daughter when she was six? Too cute. Love remembering. Glad your car is repaired.
ReplyDeleteYes, she was six in the pic! That 'toothless' age, right? Thanks Mary Helen!
DeleteYay for happy kids, happy Lindas, and happy bunnies who find their food elsewhere. Carrot cake all around!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Michelle. So fun about the cake. I really laughed! Thank you!
DeleteI'll have to experiment with a Celebrate post just using mostly pictures. Nice moment you celebrated this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Earl. I didn't see that you posted-will look again! I'd love to see the pics!
DeleteI also love the idea of celebrating with pictures and a little bit of words. The pictures bring the celebrations into sharp focus! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Ruth's book. With the sunset picture, it almost looks like the trees are on fire. It made me happy that you were able to spend time with your grand-girls!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week.
Thank you Amanda. I'm taking the book to NCTE to see if I can get Ruth to sign it! Fun, fun!
DeleteSo wish I was going to Boston but happy to be at a writing retreat next weekend. I will be thinking of you all. Love the photos of your grand girls.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we'll connect sometime, Jone. Wonderful you're going to a retreat! Thank you!
DeleteWhat a happy post! My heart caught in my throat when I saw the picture of your daughter though! It made me think of my little six-year-old and the young adult and adult he will become some day. It goes so fast. Thanks for sharing! So excited for NCTE! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen. Yes, they do grow up, & fast! Enjoy all the moments! I hope we'll connect somehow. Send me an e-mail telling me where you'll be, etc. & your e-mail!
