Love these photographs of these little ones (your gorgeous grandchildren I am assuming) reading books at the table! Love when reading is just a way of life! They are both so engaged.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie-yes, they are the grand girls, & love books. This is a new one from the book fair!
DeleteWhat a lovely walk through your life. Thanks for sharing and reminding me to find the beauty in daily goings-on.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a great week of little things.
DeleteEveryday celebrations. Thanks for showing through pictures and words how life can be celebrated and enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Deborah. Hope you had a good week too!
DeleteYou had a full week - tables, moon, tummies, eyes, sunset, smiles. Now I wonder. Do you pause and take a picture already knowing you will use it in writing, or do you take many pictures and later, when looking at them, choose what to write?
ReplyDeleteI take many, many pictures, Terje, & keep "most" organized in IPhoto, dumping others. Then I go through to decide what to use & how. It was a nice week for the visual! I had the book fair pic because I was going to write a whole post about it, then changed my mind, so just shared one of the books I purchased.
DeleteLinda~
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful celebrations. I noticed the moon several times this week- Stunning! The grand girls take the show!
Love~
new books fill the eyes
just before the mac 'n cheese
fill the tummies
Thanks Deb, if I ranked them, I agree that the grand-girls always win! Hope your weekend is good, too!
DeleteI enjoyed your pictures and words today! And yes, it is the little celebrations that bring the biggest smiles! Continue to enjoy all the little and BIG this weekend brings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle, I imagine the weekend will be good, too. Good wishes to you as well!
DeleteWhat wonderful and beautiful celebrations! I love the look on your granddaughters' faces. That is such a special relationship. I am reading A Snicker of Magic right now and am so in love with the characters and the words. It's going to be my next read aloud.
ReplyDeleteAt first, the fair didn't even have A Snicker of Magic, & I made sure they got some copies, Julie. So many have said how good it is. I can't wait to read it! Thanks!
DeleteSo many reasons to celebrate! Isn't it amazing to step back and note the moments that brought us happiness in the week? Of course my favorite line would be "new books fill the eyes." Keep the celebration going!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elsie-yes, book fair week makes a very good week!
DeleteWhat a beautiful celebration! Have a fabulous day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine, snow is coming again, but not till late afternoon, maybe the last one? Maybe a walk in the snow? Hope your day is good too!
DeleteI love this celebration post! It is nice to see so many celebrations today!
ReplyDeleteThe Celebration meme was started a few months ago by Ruth Ayres. See the link above. You're welcome to join in every Saturday! Thank you for coming by!
DeleteHi, Linda. What wonderful pictures. (Adorable children!) I loved your moon haiku -- being fully present is something I need to work on. The moon is a good reminder of what it means to be present.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about 'fully present', sometimes I'm in the middle of one thing, but the brain is off somewhere else. Trying! Thanks, Laura!
DeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteLots to celebrate! I love the way you set up this post. How did you get these to look like "polaroid pictures" with room to write at the bottom? Did you adjust something on your blog or use some type of app to take the pictures? You and I could hang out together. We both would take a moment to stop and notice the sky. We could visit a few bookstores and enjoy some great books. Thanks for sharing your celebration!
Cathy
Cathy there is a place in advanced settings-ack-somewhere-where you can choose to have a frame around the pictures, or not. As for the words, click on the photos & options of left/right/large/small, etc. appears, & within that there is the 'caption'-click on that & you can enter text-lots if you want. Yes, I suspect we could have a good time together! Thanks! And have a good weekend!
DeleteI love the pictures!! Thanks for sharing this way.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal-it was fun to do!
DeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the window into your world of celebrations this week. I know I can always count on you for reminding me to pay attention and appreciate little details...
Thanks Amy, hopeful that everyone will look a little farther at the details! They are there, and free!
DeleteI love excitement of book fairs, wet kids all warm after swimming, filling up with food and books, and the sky shots through your day. Great slices and celebrations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julieanne. It was a fun week, filled with just-right things!
DeleteI loved the unifying pictures and how you told it with poems also...of course I loved the mac and cheese and books the most...missing my girls. xo
ReplyDeleteI am lucky to have them here, Nancy. I miss seeing my grandson this often, so know how you feel in that way too. Thanks!
DeleteWhat a wonderful way to celebrate - with haiku poems and photographs. I like how each one is a simple appreciation for the small, beautiful things in life.
DeleteThanks Holly, glad you like them.
DeleteLove, love, love that sunset pic. And I took a moon picture this week too. Those grandgirls look mighty happy. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHa! I knew you would love that picture, Ramona, you with your own lovely ones. Glad you saw it! Thank you-that dinner evening with the girls was much fun!
DeleteLinda, I love this visual poetry as a summary of your week. And to call it Celebration Saturday--beautiful! My favorite one is "Sunset stopped me/evening temptation fulfilled."
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. I link up with others for our Saturday Celebration. I hope you'll join us!
DeleteIt is those sweet special moments you've captured that make our lives wonderful. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beverley-your are so right!
DeleteOoooh! I'm loving these celebrations..but especially your new arrival books! How fun. On my list for Spring break is a Snicker of Magic. The reviews are so wonderful. Enjoy them Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stella. And you are right, A Snicker of Magic is being talked about in so many places!
DeleteReally love both the creative way of sharing the slice and the words within/behind the slice. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alyson, happy you enjoyed it all.
DeleteWonderful pictures! Great way to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jaana!
DeleteWhat a glorious set of pictures! Your granddaughters are beautiful, Linda! And, as you frequently do, I am reminded to pause and take in life. Thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melanie, glad to help you remember to stop once in a while & look around.
DeleteI post pics a lot in my blogs, but I haven't thought to write a poem about them before. Such a cool idea! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I actually have done it before too. The caption possibility is appealing.
DeleteWhat a great creative way to caption pictures. I may have to try that sometime in April! Have a great week, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks Earl, glad you like the pics & captions. See you Monday!
DeleteAre those mountains in the background of your office picture? I love mountains!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures with the granddaughters! It is so special to my daughter to spend time with her grandmother. I know those girls appreciate it!
Yes, there are mountains; I live in Denver, Michele. I have an awesome view. And I feel so lucky to be close to my granddaughters-hang out whenever we can! Thanks!
DeleteLinda, I especially, loved the last photo and haiku.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jone, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it!
