Celebrating - A Little At A Time

It's Saturday, time for reflection and celebration with Ruth at her blog, Ruth Ayres Writes, Discover Play Build!

This week I celebrate my spring break, a lovely and quiet week of writing and doing some cleaning out of some personal papers, oh, I have so many papers, and am doing a little at a time. Are you good at prioritizing, choosing what to do first? I am very good when I have a limited time in which to accomplish something, but when the hours stretch before me...  I read, I write, I go for a walk, all terrific things, but not always when other things need doing.

However, I really am not griping, it's been a good week.
  • a productive meeting, yes, for school, with a teacher colleague
  • lunch with a former colleague whom I don't see often enough
  • that colleague works in a favorite Indie bookstore, so got to browse and buy a few books, too
  • watching swimming lessons and dinner out with my daughter and the grand-girls
  • finishing two terrific books and starting others (fun to choose)
  • posting a poem or something connected to poetry every day for Poetry Month
  • took my car to my favorite mechanic who did all the necessary maintenance
  • STILL THREE DAYS TO GO!
I've been thinking about all the writing everyone has been accomplishing, and now many are posting every day in April. I never got around to creating a spine poem, so here's one for all the writers!

Cheers for a great next week everyone!

Celebrating Writers

A sea of faces
opening minds
notice & note
breathing in, breathing out
hidden gems
side by side
writing toward home.
The passionate observer
awakening the heart
living on the spine.

    1. Well, I have my PD books, at least those here at home, in two places, so I put them all out on the dining table, & started. Maybe a half hour-not too long. Then I had to return them... Thanks Cathy!

I will have a week off soon after Easter and I'm already filling the calendar. One thing I am saving is time by myself to drink coffee slowly and walk my dog. Such a luxury, time!
