Carrie Gelson of There's A Book for That and Maria Selke of Maria's Melange started us down the path of giving love to all the books that came before, the ones we have on shelves, but still haven't been read! There is a small group of us that shared lists titled #MustReadIn2014. You can view that list if you click on the title on the bar above. I've read 13 of the 26 I listed. Someday I may read them all, but maybe not. For whatever reason, I haven't had/taken the time for them. Here is my list for 2015, hashtag #mustreadin2015! I'm hopeful that I will read more than this past year's list showed. I have moved a few of the books from last year's list to this one!
Thanks for the nudge, Carrie & Maria!

Please tell me what you think about Grasshopper Jungle. I couldn't finish it. I'm dying to discuss the setting with someone! But I Loved Half a Chance-I encourage some of my readers to check that one out. I'm finishing Quiet today-fascinating-and much to consider as a teacher.
ReplyDeleteBut I love this idea of a reading plan for 2015. I know what I can accomplish as far as reading in a year, so I'll be starting my own list! Thanks for the encouragement!
I don't know when I'll get to Grasshopper Jungle, but will let you know, Kendra. Come join us this year. Make your own list & go for it! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI like this idea. I need to visit my shelves and make my list.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll join us, Margaret. It's fun to share! Have a happy, happy New Year!
DeleteI'm working on my #MustReadin2015 list tonight--even as I try to finish one more title on my #MustReadin2014 list PLUS two more (gotta get to 200, gotta get to 200). (Oh yes, and make a special New Years Eve dinner and spend time with my family! I need a few more hours in the day today!)
ReplyDeleteI finally decided to relax & enjoy the hours, Elisabeth. I can't catch up! I hope you have a special New Year's Eve & a wonderful start to the new year!
DeleteHi Linda! - Myra here. Joining this again. Will link up to your post as I couldn't find Carrie's announcement post.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she did a post, Myra. Carrie's struggling with a pulled muscle & isn't typing much. Join in at #mustreadin2015!
DeleteI can't wait to hear what you think about Dr. Bird's Advice. Oh, how I love that book. There are a few books I haven't heard of, so I am excited to hear about those too! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is always interesting to read what people think of Grasshopper Jungle. It is disturbing, weird, and fascinating. I loved it. I'm looking forward to Winger and even more looking forward to seeing Andrew Smith at Serendipity in Vancouver this year.
