Today, I'm celebrating with Ruth Ayres, one of the creators of the Two Writing Teachers blog, who now has another blog, Discover, Play Build, a way of celebrating all the many things in life that boost us up, help us move step by step through our lives. We have much to thank Ruth and Stacey for by beginning this community, and now continue to thank them, and now Tara, Dana, Beth, Anna and Betsy, too. It's Day Seven of the SOLC. Celebrate!
Day Seven of the Two Writing Teachers Slice of Life Challenge.

Wow, it was a busy week. I'm also slicing with my classroom at Linda & Jonathan's Class Blog. I celebrate them, writing away every.single.day plus doing all their homework for other assignments and going to swimming, soccer, dance, ultimate frisbee, volleball-whew. Managing regular school (is there 'regular school'?) plus posting every day, and trying to live the rest of my life, you know--like eating and sleeping, paying bills and dusting. It's been a whirlwind of a week. Cold started the week; warmth ended it. I must admit, I didn't manage the dusting, but did do the laundry.
I thought I'd celebrate the ALPHABET this week. After all, our writing IS all about the alphabet, isn't it?
26 things I'm grateful for, all part of my life this past week:

What a sweet short way to use an alphabet as a celebration. It is rather challenging with school life, before and after school life, including daily writing. The whirlwind may make us dizzy but at the same time it is exciting. I'll tackle the laundry and dust today (after writing.)

ReplyDeleteI love this! It reminds of the game I used to play with my young daughters when we had time to pass ..."I'm going on a picnic" and each player must bring something beginning with the letters of the alphabet in order.

ReplyDeleteLots to celebrate this week! I love how you did it as an abecedarian. And have I mentioned how cool I think it is that you are slicing with your kids and with your colleagues! I'm still working on getting other people at school involved. I tried this year, but I didn't get very far.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post. 7 days of writing is something to celebrate and be proud of. This week was a challenging one for me-- professionally and personally, but I really want to be successful at writing all 31 days. Some nights I've written after everything else was done-- at 11:00 or later-- and barely gotten a post in, but so far, so good!
