Discovered the last flowers of summer, or are they? We have warm weather again in the next few days. |
SuperGirl-being serious and strong |
So hard to see Imi, but she is happy to be that whispering Darth Vader |
Here's a better picture of Imi, playing in our nearby park, and one of the Halloween decorations we found on our walk. She spent the day with me on Thursday.
One more picture of the beautiful autumn we are having, and snow on the mountains. Winter's coming up high, just not down here on the flat yet.
Finally, I'm celebrating that I did my first shift volunteering at a nearby, favorite used bookstore. I return in a couple of weeks, and then will work weekly. It was fun, challenging to figure out all the processes of the pricing and the credits, etc. But I really loved being there and talking with customers, starting to learn the inventory, etc. More to come!
Hope your weekend is filled with lovely things, Halloween if you celebrate it, and gaining that one hour on Sunday morning!
Love the Imi pic, the Halloween costumes, and especially the gorgeous leaves. Can't wait to hear more about your book volunteering adventures. Have a fun Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ramona. It's supposed to be gorgeous weather here, so it should be a lovely Halloween evening.
DeleteAdorable Halloween costumes! I love seeing the kids get so excited! I'm glad your adventure at the bookstore was a good one...it sounds like the beginning of an amazing journey! Love the pics of the fall trees and the snow peeking in on the mountain tops. I need to get out there soon. I have a good friend who lives in Fort Collins. I want to visit...soon!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you do come visit, Michelle. At least we might get to have coffee or a quick lunch. Thank you!
DeleteGorgeous pictures! You will have to tell me when you are there (if it's not during school hours) and I will walk down and say hello.
ReplyDeleteUnless you have a day off, I think I'll miss you every time, Carol. My shift is ten to two, will be on Thursdays starting in December. We do need to have lunch or something, though! Maybe Cake Crumbs! Thanks!
DeleteLooks like you have had a very happy and heart satisfying week. Hope the next one is even better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bernadette. It was a good week full of nice times.
DeleteWonderful celebrations in all aspects of your busy life! Don't you wonder how you had time to teach before? The girls are darling in their costumes, fun night for them. Love the leaves and flowers. Too soon it will all be brown.
ReplyDeleteI just had to take that picture of the roses, still beautiful! Yes, the girls are very excited. At this age the delight of the costume is everything! Thanks!
DeleteThe seasons seem to be bumping into each other! Flowers and fall leaves. Wonderful seeing your super strong girls in costume. Enjoy tonight!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julieanne, hope you have a good and spooky Halloween!
DeleteYour time with your grandkids keeps you young. I believe that the time in the bookstore will create some inspiration magic.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to do new things. I was nervous before yesterday, but it went okay. Thanks, Terje.
DeleteThere's nothing cuter than little kids in costumes! How fun to be working in a bookstore - my second dream job. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt was fun, & I'm looking forward to more, Holly, a good thing! Thanks!
DeleteYour pictures made me smile. So wonderful to have time with the young people we love.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal, fun to have!
DeleteMy kids always loved Halloween, especially my son. He went trick-or-treating up until the year or two...and he is 19! My first career was in retail management and I LOVED it! I really miss it at Christmas but we didn't have all of the early bird sales like they do now. With you being a people person, I am sure you will enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSince it is a used bookstore, I don't think it will be as busy as the usual stores, Leigh Anne. Yes, even now, the kids have been coming, little to big! Hope you're having a fun evening!
DeleteLinda, Indian Summer has hit your area too. How splendid to see all of the happenings in Colorado this week. The girls look like they are reading to trick or treat. I hope they had as much fun as I had looking at all of the little ones parade to my door. What a glorious day it to enjoy life.
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed a glorious day, Carol, Hard to believe we still have such warm weather! Yes, the girls were super excited, & had a block party this am, & assume fun trick or treating this evening. Thank you!
