"Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash."
~Leonard Cohen
Of interest: See the page on the bar above for the Progressive Poem's schedule of poets, hosted by Irene Latham at Live Your Poem.
And, see what many are doing for Poetry Month, by looking HERE at Jama Rattigan's post at Jama's Alphabet Soup.
My goal for Poetry Month: A haiku diary that may include other forms related to haiku, like haibun, haiga. monoku or renga. I have enjoyed studying about and writing in these forms in past Aprils and alongside other's who've given a challenge in this form. And, I look forward to seeing what parts of this month I will choose to collect in a diary. I will also be connecting with others, writing for their challenges, too, along with other kinds of blog posts.
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annette.
DeleteThe end of winter can't come soon enough. My tulips are sticking their spiky green crowns up from the ground. I can't wait for the bursts of color.
ReplyDeleteI have them sticking up, too, but they're later than others, in the shade. Thanks, Glenda!
DeleteI've been picking up tulips in the grocery to brighten my kitchen. Your poem brightens my day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. Some rain and/or snow is coming Friday, so perhaps the lawns will give us some green, too! I have mums in my house, yes, a bright spot like your tulips!
DeleteAnd daffodils too! Our tulips are delayed this year, but the daffodils make me feel like springtime and sunshine (even if we don't have much of it).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ramona, for the cheer! I know you have more flowers. We really need to share each other's weather. I'll send sun, you send rain! Ha!
