Thanks to Carrie Gelson of There's A Book for That for hosting a #MustRead group each year for those who continue to create a list of lonely books on shelves or lists that we are excited about when bought or listed, then ignore, or find others that call more loudly. See the above link to Carrie's blog to find out more!
I still haven't read them all, but three more since the last update, shown in red. Here's what has happened thus far--ten out of thirteen! Of those recent three, don't miss any! Of course it depends on the genre you love or the age you want to read for. They are all terrific with their own unique stories.
Earlier books read are in blue, with links to my reviews on Goodreads.

That's pretty impressive to have read all these lonlies. I did read Swing and liked it very much, but haven't read Becoming or Solo yet.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is that I have Swing and Unbecoming, just have not made time for them. You've given me a boost for Swing! Thanks, Alex!
DeleteI enjoyed Children of Blood and Bone even if it did take me out of my comfort zone. I'm not sure if I will do the sequel though. I adored Me And Marvin Gardens. I'm concluding that if A.S. King writes it, I better read it! Educated is on my MustRead nonfiction list for this year. I would like to get to it, but the wait list from the library means I won't get it till next year....
ReplyDeleteThat next Tomi Adeyemi book is coming in December! Yes, any A.S. King is one to find first. I wrote in my review that I couldn't believe I had waited so long to read it. Wish I could loan you my Educated, but when you read it, I hope you enjoy it. It's a tough read! Thanks, Cheriee!
DeleteMe and Marvin Gardens is one of my absolute middle grade favourites!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a wonderful story. Thanks, Carrie!
DeleteI am also in the read-most-everything-A.S.-King-writes,-or-intend-to-club. I also thought Illegal was really good too, and have several students who really liked it. Great job on your list, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aaron. There are so many great books to read, as you know, too. Glad to hear about Illegal being liked by your students.
DeleteI've read 7 on your list and enjoyed them all. I need to get to the A.S. King book. I usually like King's books.
ReplyDeleteYes, Me and Marvin Gardens is a special story, Crystal. I guess we read some of the same books & learn of more from each other. Thanks!
