Your little opening word "now" jumped out at me...perhaps a nod to the pre-Halloween Christmas decor I spied in stores??? Thank you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet concrete poem for the first of December! Thanks, Linda :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, that is a perfect little Christmas tree. Loving the ornaments. I love the "every corner / extra merrily" You have inspired me to get out my December decorations. Thank you for sharing your sweet small poem.
ReplyDeleteWow, Linda! A concrete poem that is also an acrostic! That's amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous as always...super creative and short for a busy person in a busy season. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteLinda, your December concrete poem is adorable! The way you used color was something that I had not seen before in concrete poems (usually just black and white). Color adds a whole new dimension. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteI love this--full of commanding joy! Embracing every beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love your December Christmas tree poem with all the creative elements you wove in-- acrostic, color, form. Wow! Perfection!
ReplyDeleteClever! And colorful! Well played!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and festive!! Happy December!
ReplyDeleteThank you to all for bringing the 'gifts' of words to put under the tree! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteSuch a joyful poem, Linda! Clever how you weaved in December in such a colorful way! I hope your holiday is as cheerful.
ReplyDeleteCharming and clever! Thank you, Linda.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to do an acrostic! Kids would love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janice, Rose, & Marcie! I am decorating! Hope you're having a great weekend prepping for a holiday!
ReplyDeleteHee hee hee! I love it, Linda.
ReplyDeleteLinda, what a jammed packed weekend for the start of December but I am happy to settle in today. The quiet of morning lets me read in peace. I am in the decorate every corner mood but I had to start with disassembling my autumn collection to turn over the house to Christmas. Beautiful tidings of joy I send to you.
ReplyDeleteOops, my comment never made it to your post. How Odd! Linda, your poem comes right at the time that I am starting my usual "decorate every corner of my house "routine. This weekend was an extremely busy one with a dinner dance, visit to the garden centers' Santa read-in with my little grandgirls (one in a sling from a fractured collarbone), and a family dinner last night. I am so glad to be here this morning quietly reading PF posts. Thanks for the colorful and delightful poem to think about when I decorate today.
ReplyDeleteBoth the shape and the content of your poem have me smiling, Linda. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bridget, Heidi & Carol. It felt like a fun thing to do for December's holidays! Carol, I have moderation turned on after three days. That's why you thought you'd lost your comment. I'm sorry for the fractured collarbone, yikes. So it begins with kids!
ReplyDeletePerfectly lovely Linda! "Decorate~Merrily~Be Excited~Rejoice" Love all the colors and spirit here! Reminds me of Leonard Cohen singing his Hallelujah, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle. Ah, that is a nice response, love Cohen's Hallelujah!
